Monday was the start for a long journey for both of us…our day started at 4 am to get the flight to London heathrow on time. At 7 o clock we finally departed from Munich and started on our endless journey.
About 90 minutes later we got to heathrow and got to wait for 5 hours for our connection flight …luckily we got some wireless lan so it was not that boring…Then we got on our flight to Vancouver with British Airways..Luckily the entertainment system was not broken so we could watch tons of movies or listen to audio...Basti and me were sitting not together because basti wanted to get a better place and more space for his legs….But that helped us later on to get directly to our hostel in downtown Vancouver.
I sat in the middle of two canadien girls. One was on the plane with here friends who had been to Ghana with their church …and the other just came from Greece with an broken arm which was the result of getting hit by a motorbike…
Due to her cast I had to help her several times and as real gentleman we carried her luggage ,too. As an result of we got a ride from the airport directly to our hostel in Vancouver…the car was packed full with about 2 big bags about 20 kg of 3 persons+ 2 Snowboard bags + 3 hand luggages + 4 people…
There was no space to move in the car but finally we managed to get throug our hostel…..We made a picture of all the luggage to show you what is possible to pack in middle class car….Just watch the pictures in front of our hostel..
Our first day ended at 12 o clock in the evening after a warm shower and being awake for over 25 hours…….
The next day we got some bikes an rode through whole vancouver ….we were on tour for about 8 hours and passed through all the nice places. We saw the whole Stanley park but not all places because some parts are in reconstruction unfortunatley:-(
At Friday we had to get up very early in order to hop on the greyhound bus which brought us to Kamloops. Until we arrived we had a few stops and saw the beautiful landscape and nature of Canada. After a four hour ride we finally arrived in Kamloops…
